The 2010 annual CCE IRISH FOLK FESTIVAL
The 2010 annual CCE IRISH FOLK FESTIVAL, sponsored by the CCE O’Neill Malcom Branch with support from the Fairfax City Commission on the Arts, will take place on Saturday, September 25th in historic downtown Fairfax City from noon to 6pm.

There will be live traditional Irish music and dance on the Auld Shebeen pub stage and downstairs cellar, an outside Showmobile, and The Space in the Old Town Fairfax Plaza (North Street, between Chain Bridge Road & University Blvd). There will be live music in several other small venues in the Fairfax downtown area; a session area; and a children’s program as well as crafts and a photography exhibit. Rain or shine.

LIZ CARROLL, National Heritage Award Winner (and All Ireland Champion fiddler) will be performing with button accordion virtuoso and All-Ireland Champ BILLY McCOMISKEY.
Four stages will present some of the area’s finest musicians and dancers (see list below) along with visiting performers, All Ireland Champion fiddler and the Irish Echo's Top Trad Artist for 2008, BRIAN CONWAY, flute and piano expert BRENDAN DOLAN , and our own All-Ireland Champion, fiddler BRENDAN MULVIHILL with BRIAN GAFFNEY
